About Us
Produce-Exchange.com is owned by Joey Lemmons Media. We are located in Gaffney,
South Carolina at 138 Webber Road. Joey Lemmons has a background in farming. His
father, Jodean Lemmons Sr. operated a 500 acre peach farm in South Carolina during
the 1960’s and 1970’s and early 80’s. During part of that time, Joey Lemmons worked
in the orchards managing the picking operations during his high school and college
years. In 1981, he received his batchler degree for Clemson University in Agricultural
Economics.
After graduating he brokered peach shipments for his father’s farm. Joey Lemmons
has a good understanding of the produce business from the fields to the store and
seeks to help both buyers and sellers to succeed in the produce business. Produce-Exchange.com
serves to reduce the time that sellers can place their produce shipments and to
help buyers find the produce they need in a time saving manner.
This site is set up for buyers and sellers to trade in large quantities or shipments
but still allows for buyers to buy quantities less than a full load. Our goal is
to help large wholesale dealers, not the restaurant or produce stand which just
needs 10-20 boxes of an item for a day or two. In our opinion, that is the role
of the produce wholesale house. This site is designed for buying and selling large
shipments. We require that you register to get a log in account. This site is for
those who are growers, shippers, brokers, wholesales, grocery store chains, jobbers,
or anyone who deal in large shipments. Anyone who only buys in small shipments will
not be able to retain a login ID for this site.
If you have any questions about Produce-Exchange.com feel free to call us. If you
see a buyer who should not have access to this site and does not meet the requirement
of being a large quantity buyer, please let us know so that we can investigate and
decide if this buyer should have access to our site. Thanks and we hope that you
will allow this site to be a resource tool to help you succeed in the produce industry.
